Theo Muller sailing on YE36 (Drie Gebroeders) 

The YE36 (Drie Gebroeders) is the vessel LBYC member Theo Muller sailed on sailed on recently, while visiting his old ‘stomping ground’ in the province of Zeeland. She was built in 1900 and served as a shrimp fisher in her early days. She measures 14.85M and weighs about 18 tonnes. She received her first motor (Kromhout) in 1923. The Drie Gebroeders (three brothers) remained a fishing vessel, predominantly in the mussel industry, till 1968, when her owner sold her to a recreational sailing family. Now she is owned and maintained by an incorporated society who have several other ‘flat bottoms’ in their fleet.
