Situated at the north-east end of Wellington harbour Seaview Marina has 360 berths accommodating vessels from 10m to 26m. It also has storage for 250 trailer boats in two secure compounds.

The solid breakwater provides excellent protection from the elements.

The marina has the best boat maintenance facilities in the region. It provides a 34 capacity hardstand with a 50 tonne boat hoist. The Wellington Marine Centre, on the hardstand site, has a range of boat service providers and marine product retailers. Within the Seaview area there are a host of other industries which provide products and services to boat owners.

Diesel fuel is available at the dockway with payment by credit card.

 

A four lane concrete launching ramp for trailer boats is provided with access by credit or debit card, or by purchasing an annual pass from the marina office.

 

Visiting cruising boats are welcome and there are generally spare berths available. Power and water are supplied to each berth. Power use is monitored and there is a charge per kWhr. The marina has a high level of security and provides excellent ablution and laundry facilities. There is also a café operating with a deck sited over the water.

Regular bus services operate between Wellington, Central Hutt, Petone and Eastbourne.
